The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting guests to and/or from the hotel, hospital or casino and local area in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner, using safe driving practices. They also assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pick‑up, and maintain vehicle activity and maintenance logs.

Job Details

Compensation: The hourly base pay range for this position is $16 per hour. The actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job‑related skills, experience, education or training, and location.

Work Schedule: The schedule will fluctuate based on business volume and will be clarified during the interview process. Availability Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm is required.

Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 0.0192 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year. Employees accrue 0.02 hours of floating holiday per hour worked up to a maximum of 32 hours per calendar year.

Benefits: Eligible employees may enroll in accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity and telemedicine insurance, as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan.

Benefit & PTO Eligibility: Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for the paid time off and benefits outlined above.

SUMMARY

The Shuttle Driver transports guests, assists with luggage, maintains vehicle logs, and ensures safe and courteous service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Shuttle guests to approved destinations, remembering pickup and destination points, and knowledge of property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, main attractions, parking rates, etc. – 40%
  • Communicate professionally by telephone, two‑way radio, and in person, greeting guests within 30 seconds, using guest last name, maintaining composure under pressure, and using appropriate salutations. – 20%
  • Operate a vehicle that seats fifteen people or less, inspecting vehicle for proper operation, monitoring condition, and reporting issues to manager. – 20%
  • Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, maintain security of client financial and identifying information, and provide assistance within policy limits. – 20%
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Licensure, Certification: Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, pass criminal background, MVR and drug screen, meet vehicle leasing requirements, maintain DOT endorsements and bi‑annual physical exam, complete Wheelchair Safety Training if applicable, and possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

Work Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge &

Skills:

Ability to drive manual transmission, read/write standard English, understand simple instructions and memos, write simple correspondence, present information one‑on‑one or in small groups, perform arithmetic with American currency, understand 24‑hour and military time systems, and understand rate calculations.

SCOPE

The job follows established practices and procedures, with decisions made within operational instructions and guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect department efficiency.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular talk or hearing, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual demands include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
