Systems Engineering Support Analyst 2

Position Overview
The Systems Engineering Support Analyst 2 is responsible for supporting sustainment, maintenance, and modification activities by coordinating parts, materials, inventory, procurement, and logistics operations. This role combines analytical and warehouse responsibilities to ensure timely support for repair and maintenance programs.

The position works closely with engineering teams, supplier management, technicians, and customers to manage inventory, procure materials, support repair activities, and maintain operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Analyst Responsibilities
  • Manage jobs related to unserviceable parts and repair activities.
  • Process Purchase Requests (PRs) and coordinate with Supplier Management for Purchase Order (PO) placement and tracking.
  • Monitor part availability, material status, and estimated delivery schedules.
  • Establish and maintain inventory stock levels and reorder points.
  • Serve as a liaison between Supplier Management and Engineering teams.
  • Verify part requirements through the review of technical orders, parts lists, drawings, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate scrap, disposal, and disposition activities with customers and stakeholders.
  • Review modification drawings and technical documentation to provide recommendations on spare-part disposition, stock levels, and material management.
  • Research obsolete parts, materials, and tools required to support long-term sustainment efforts.
  • Submit and manage monthly equipment calibration requests.
  • Maintain accurate records within inventory and logistics management systems.
  • Research, analyze, and compile technical and operational data to support program objectives.
  • Apply systems engineering principles, processes, and methodologies to support system and product lifecycle activities.
  • Assist in developing system architectures, functional requirements, and product improvements.
  • Support integration of technical, cost, risk, and specialty engineering considerations into program decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to meet project objectives.
Warehouse Responsibilities
  • Generate and manage job orders.
  • Process part requests and issue materials to maintenance personnel.
  • Receive, inspect, and process serviceable and unserviceable part turn-ins.
  • Monitor and manage Do-In-From-Maintenance (DIFM) inventory.
  • Conduct physical inventories and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory control activities.
  • Process procurement requests related to equipment calibration and maintenance support.
Required Qualifications
  • Applicable education, certification, or equivalent experience from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Ability to obtain site/facility access as required.
  • Experience with inventory management, logistics, procurement, supply chain, warehouse, or technical support functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting supply chain, logistics, maintenance, or sustainment operations.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation, engineering drawings, and parts management processes.
  • Experience using inventory management and logistics systems.
  • Active security clearance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
