Buyer | Manufacturing

We are seeking two experienced Manufacturing Buyers to help a leading manufacturer of fluid devices work through a substantial purchasing backlog. This position will be responsible for sourcing materials and components, expediting orders, communicating with suppliers and supporting production needs.

Oklahoma City, OK 73112

Pay: $32-$38 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: 6-months contract/temp

Schedule:

M-F, 7 am to 4 pm 100% onsite

Responsibilities Process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records

Follow up with suppliers regarding pricing, order status and delivery dates

Expedite delayed materials and help resolve the current purchasing backlog

Source raw materials, components and equipment used in manufacturing

Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, logistics and warehouse teams

Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery and compliance

Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and prevent material shortages

Resolve delivery, invoice and inventory discrepancies

Maintain supplier information within the company’s ERP system

Requirements

Must Have:
At least three years of purchasing, procurement, planning or supply chain experience

Must Have:
Manufacturing industry experience required

Must Have:
Experience purchasing metals, plastics, fabricated components, mechanical parts or materials used to manufacture devices strongly preferred

Buyer, Expeditor, Planner and similar backgrounds will be considered

Must Have:
Experience using ERP or procurement systems

Strong supplier communication, follow-up and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment#INC1
