General Description

This position is responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining HVAC mechanical, electrical, and ventilation systems; handles the maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair, and operation of the College facilities including an aquatic facility; works on all associated piping, valves, controls, etc.; performs work on all associated electrical switch-gear and electrical distribution systems; and may work on associated heating/air conditioning/ventilation systems and the facility structure and roofing systems.

High school diploma / GED. 1 year of commercial HVAC work experience. State Licensed Mechanical Journeyman; EPA Refrigerant Certification – Minimum Type II Category (Applicants must attach a copy of license and certification).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge: Basic systems theory and operation including electrical, mechanical, construction, and heating/air conditioning/ventilation systems;
