Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is seeking a Lead Maintenance Tech to help keep our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this position combines hands‑on repair and preventive maintenance with supervision of Maintenance Technicians and coordination of contractors and vendors across Clinic locations.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspect buildings and grounds to identify repair needs, safety hazards, and upkeep concerns.
  • Perform and coordinate general electrical, carpentry, drywall, heating, cooling, and plumbing repairs.
  • Complete daily work orders, track maintenance requests, and coordinate staff and contractors responsible for repairs.
  • Supervise Maintenance Technicians and coordinate coverage across all OKCIC locations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Clinic equipment and document completed work.
  • Maintain inspection records and logs for generators, exit lights, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment.
  • Monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems and coordinate emergency repairs.
  • Track supplies, maintain inventory, prepare purchase requisitions, and coordinate vendor deliveries.
  • Oversee landscaping and pest control services.
  • Assist with snow removal, custodial duties, and driving and maintaining GSA‑issued vehicles as needed.
  • Communicate facility concerns to leadership and help improve departmental procedures.

Qualifications
  • Due to the safety‑sensitive nature of this position, medical marijuana license holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for this position.
  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission, and core values.
  • At least five years of related experience in electrical, carpentry, drywall, heating, and cooling repairs.
  • At least three years of work‑related computer experience, including Word and Excel or Google Docs and Sheets, pivot tables, data management, and communication.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and building systems.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work across multiple locations.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.
  • A valid, current Oklahoma driver’s license and an acceptable driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past two years.
  • Ability to complete DOT‑regulated medical waste training within 30 days of hire and recertify every three years.
  • At least one year of personnel management experience, preferred
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds; push/pull a cart up to 240 pounds on an equipment cart/dolly; climb up to five flights of stairs; and climb ladders.
