CFO, VP/Director of Finance
Privately held healthcare organization is seeking a Controller to serve as the top financial leader of the company. This role is highly visible and will function as a key member of the executive leadership team, working closely with the CEO and Board of Directors.
The organization recently completed a strategic “shrink to grow” transformation, narrowing its focus to core healthcare service lines while positioning itself for disciplined, multi-state growth. With recent acquisitions completed and additional expansion underway, this is an exceptional opportunity for a hands‑on financial leader to help guide the next phase of the organization’s evolution.
Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 base salary + 15% annual bonus target
Role Overview- Serve as the senior‑most financial leader, overseeing all accounting and financial operations
- Lead and develop a high‑performing accounting team of 4 direct reports (Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, and two Staff Accountants)
- Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team on financial strategy, reporting, and growth initiatives
- Present financial information and insights to the Board of Directors with confidence and clarity
- Ensure compliance, accuracy, and scalability across financial reporting and controls
- Privately owned healthcare organization with 25+ years of history
- Approximately $65M in annual revenue
- ~220 employees across six locations
, with continued expansion planned - Lean, collaborative finance team of five total

- CPA required
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, including exposure to Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting and Part D bids
- Proven leader who enjoys mentoring, developing, and empowering teams
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with Board members and senior stakeholders
- Self‑directed, “go‑getter” mentality with comfort operating in a low‑bureaucracy environment
- Experience with Power BI preferred; ERP experience a plus (Epicor exposure helpful but not required)
