Description
Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company is seeking a motivated and hands‑on Fireplace Operations Supervisor to lead daily operations within our growing Fireplace Division in Oklahoma City. This role is ideal for a driven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in building strong teams, delivering quality workmanship, and ensuring operational excellence from warehouse to job site. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play an essential role in coordinating installations, supporting team development, and maintaining the high standards that have defined Mill Creek since 1934.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations within the Fireplace Division, including installation coordination, warehouse workflow, and job site support
- Lead and support team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality production and installation
- Assist in implementing operational strategies that support growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor workflow and help manage expenses to support budget goals
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain safety, accuracy, and efficiency
- Support employee development by assisting with onboarding and training of new hires
- Evaluate day-to-day operations and recommend process improvements
- Review and approve timecards and assist with scheduling and time off coordination
- Participate in employee performance discussions and provide constructive feedback
- Escalate operational concerns to management and assist in resolving issues such as scheduling conflicts, workflow delays, or customer service challenges
- Assist senior leadership in preparing for expanded operational responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, installation, logistics, or operations
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold team members accountable
- Working knowledge of job site safety standards and building regulations
- Ability to coordinate scheduling, manage workflow, and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Effective communication skills with both field teams and office personnel
- Basic computer proficiency including email, scheduling software, and payroll systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse and job site environment as needed
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
