About the role
- We are seeking an experienced and driven Vice President of Sales to lead capital-raising efforts for a pre-revenue startup. This executive will be responsible for building, managing, and leading a team of fundraisers while driving investor engagement and capital formation. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in fundraising, sales leadership, and relationship management, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage a team of fundraisers focused on raising capital from accredited investors and strategic partners
- Develop and execute the company’s capital-raising strategy to support growth objectives
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with investors, family offices, and strategic stakeholders
- Oversee the full fundraising lifecycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing
- Establish sales processes, performance metrics, and accountability across the fundraising team
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align fundraising goals with company strategy
- Represent the company at investor meetings, conferences, and events
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on fundraising pipeline and performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales leadership, capital raising, or investment-related roles
- Demonstrated success leading sales or fundraising teams
- Strong investor-facing communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working in startup or pre-revenue environments preferred
- Ability to operate independently while building scalable processes
- High integrity, professionalism, and strategic mindset
- Base salary range of $120,000–$150,000 , commensurate with experience
- Performance-based bonus tied to capital raised and team performance
