JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Operations at Goodwill of Central Oklahoma is a high-impact leader responsible for synchronizing the full lifecycle of donated goods—from initial acquisition and transportation to Centralized Processing Center (CPC) throughout and post-retail salvage. This role drives mission-funded revenue by optimizing logistics, standardizing high-volume sorting and grading metrics, and maximizing the value of recyclable materials. The Director ensures strict compliance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards through data driven SOPs while balancing fiscal discipline with a "safety-first" culture.

Operations Manager, Sr. Manager of Attended Donation Centers (ADC’s)

Assistant Managers of Operations, Shift Leaders, Material Handlers, Forklift Drivers, Truck Drivers, Cashiers, Donation Attendants, and ADC Managers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Lead and synchronize all Distribution Center, Centralized Processing Center (CPC), Transportation, and Post-Retail operations to meet or exceed financial targets and strategic growth goals.
  • Direct the workflow of the Centralized Processing Center, ensuring high-volume sorting, grading, and pricing of donated goods to maximize retail-ready inventory flow.
  • Lead and synchronize all Distribution Center, Transportation, and Post-Retail operations to meet or exceed financial targets and strategic growth goals.
  • Oversee Donated Goods logistics, including dispatch scheduling, transport cost optimization, and the comprehensive maintenance of fleet vehicles and material handling equipment.
  • Strategically oversee a network of attended donation centers (ADC’s), by developing operational standards, optimizing site logistics, and leading multi‑site management teams to drive donation volume, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance the donor experience.
  • Maximize the value of all recyclable materials and post‑retail goods while implementing innovative donation acquisition strategies through networking and community events.
  • Generate and analyze performance reports to proactively refine personnel policies, CPC production metrics, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and organizational workflows.
  • Recruit, coach, and supervise a diverse team of management and field staff, fostering a supportive culture of continuous improvement and professional accountability.
  • Ensure 100% organizational adherence to DOT regulations, CARF standards, and all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Enforce a "safety-first" environment by maintaining rigorous safety protocols, conducting required training, and ensuring immediate resolution of unsafe conditions.
  • Represent the agency professionally in leadership meetings and cross‑departmental projects to align operational output with Goodwill’s mission and company culture.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience resolving high‑pressure logistics bottlenecks and internal/external complaints with a sense of urgency.
  • Skilled in relationship management to drive non‑traditional donation acquisition and partnership growth.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through organizational transitions or process overhauls.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • 10 years of warehouse/logistics proven working experience in a supervisory role, required.
  • Deep familiarity with Department of Transportation  Oklahoma Driver’s License and Car Insurance Verification, required.

    Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Reliable transportation and communication, required.
