City Care is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented leader to oversee the daily operations of our family navigation center, that serves families experiencing homelessness. This role reports to the Senior Director of Housing Navigation and focuses on implementing operational excellence, supporting frontline staff, and ensuring safe, consistent, and welcoming family re-housing and early intervention services.

The Family Connect Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center. This role ensures smooth shift coverage, adherence to policies, data compliance, and high standards of care. The Director supervises the housing navigation staff, supports training and development, and ensures that operational systems function effectively. This role must have a flexible schedule to oversee two shifts. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on execution, consistency, and team support.

The role includes oversight and approval of funding requests for client assistance.

The Director is also responsible for administering family housing consultations and assessments, to ensure that families are connected to the right resources to end their homelessness. This role will work to coordinate the scheduling, case assignments, and funding approvals for staff assigned to the navigation center, including staff from partner agencies.

This position is fully grant funded for a four-year term.

• Oversee daily operations and caseload assignments across assigned shifts.
• Supervise, coach, and support housing navigation staff to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Maintain shift schedules and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Implement and uphold operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to internal agency policies and safety protocols.
• Monitor incident reports, documentation, and follow-up processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely HMIS data entry and compliance.
• Support tracking of program outcomes and reporting requirements.
• Monitor supply levels and coordinate operational needs.
• Address guest concerns and assist staff in de-escalation and crisis response.
• Coordinate with partner agencies case management staff and other program teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Support implementation of best practices for low-barrier, client-centered housing navigation operations.
• Maintain a safe, trauma-informed, and welcoming environment for families and staff.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in shelter services, housing services, case management, recovery, justice work, or related field.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to complete data entry accurately and on time; HMIS experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and lead effectively in crisis situations.
• Deep understanding of the complexity of homelessness, poverty, mental illness, substance use, and recovery.
• Pre-employment background check, driving record, and UA required.
• Current Oklahoma driver's license, reliable transportation, and updated car insurance required.
• 3 years removed from any lived experience related to recovery, homelessness, or permanent supportive housing residency.
• Must be willing to transport clients in their personal vehicle when necessary.

• Previous homeless services experience.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and de-escalation practices.
• Professional experience navigating mental and physical health systems, benefits, and community resources.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with lived or work experience.
