Position Overview and Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Sheet metal Supervisor supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Sheet metal Supervisor oversees employees in fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment. The supervisor also fabricates, installs, and repairs HVAC sheet metal, plastic, or fiberglass products or equipment, checks job sheets, and sets up machines for operation.
- Supervises, assigns, and coordinates the work activities of subordinates.
- Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of sheet metal expenditures, and procedures for equipment maintenance.
- Recommends the selection and purchase of sheet metal tools and materials.
- Estimates material and labor.
- Monitors the acquisition and use of materials.
- Maintains sheet metal shop records and submits reports as required.
- Provides instruction on safety methods and procedures for the purpose of creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Enforces safety regulations and adheres to codes and standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Eight years of sheet metal experience (journey-level sheet metal worker), which includes one year of supervisory experience.
- Must be able to read blueprints and troubleshoot basic equipment and machines.
- Must be able to use equipment, including hand tools, power tools, fabricating machines, and equipment.
- Skilled in fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal and related products or equipment.
- Skilled in estimating time and material requirements of work projects assigned.
- Skilled in both verbal and written communication.
- Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces and have the ability to climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes.
- Must be able to lift/carry 20-25lbs on a daily basis.
- Completion of a federally approved technical training program in sheet metal.
Salary: $80,308.80 per year
