* Position Summary:
*** We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator Lead to oversee daily production activities and support machine operation teams within our manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating work assignments, training operators, monitoring quality, and ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate machine operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience in fabrication or machine operations, and the ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced production setting.
This position plays a key role in meeting production schedules, maintaining product quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

* Position Responsibilities:
**** Supervise, train, and mentor fabrication team members.
* Assign daily tasks and manage workloads to meet production schedules.
* Monitor team performance and provide ongoing coaching and support.
* Ensure coils are fabricated according to specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
* Conduct in‑process inspections and verify compliance with customer requirements.
* Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with engineering/manufacturing teams for solutions.
* Maintain efficient workflow through proper staging, sequencing, and resource allocation.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cycle time optimization.
* Support continuous improvement efforts across operations and promote best practices.
* Ensure proper use, maintenance, and cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
* Enforce all safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines.
* Conduct morning meetings, safety checks, and incident reporting as needed.
* Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
*** Position Requirements:
**** High school diploma or equivalent, preferred. Completion of some secondary/trade school technical and/or general business course is preferred
* Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience (W1), or equivalent combination of technical school, on-the-job training and work experience.
* Ability to follow written directions for proper changeover procedures.
* Understand and implement proper changeover procedures.
* General sheet metal knowledge
* Some knowledge and experience in Quality Assurance
* Attention to detail
* Good math skills are preferred to interpret drawings and specifications.
* Able to lift and/or move heavy objects/components, frequently up to 25lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists.
* Able to stand for prolonged periods on a concrete floor.
* Able to walk, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
* Must have demonstrated ability to communicate (speak, read, write) in English.
* Able to work independently and with others.
* Wear safety gear at all times
* Must be able to work overtime
