Production Manager, Manufacturing Production
Summary
Team leader coordinates and leads performance of production personnel and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Promotes and maintains a safe work environment at all times.
- Responsible for housekeeping and 5s activity in the area.
- Responsible for product quality through auditing and verification of operator conformance to standards, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Audits products and scrap to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines or methods.
- Facilitates continuous improvement with a focus on employee involvement.
- Supports Supervisor in developing personnel through training, performance reviews, and other administrative duties.
- Responsible for employee training, cross‑training, and maintenance of training records.
- Adjusts manpower assignments to meet production schedules.
- Assures necessary materials and supplies are available and used appropriately for production.
- Assists in the implementation of new procedures or processes to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Maintains production records.
Performs the duties of production workers supervised when needed.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesAssists in the supervision of 10 to 25 employees on the production line.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of operations and/or lean experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and the related business processes. Intermediate to advanced PC skills.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to groups of employees or others outside the department. Must be able to read and understand English.
Computer SkillsAbility to operate proficiently a PC computer, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to draft emails, work in spreadsheets, and create graphs. Ability to navigate network directories and learn to perform duties in enterprise ERP software system.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to interpret company and departmental financial data.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several variables in various situations.
