Position SummaryThe Production & Sales Manager is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing shop and warehouse operations while also managing parts and repair sales activities. This role ensures efficient production execution, accurate job costing, strong customer communication, and alignment between operations, sales, and shipping. The position requires a proactive leader who can balance floor‑level execution with customer‑facing sales support.
Job Duties- Coordinate production schedules and align outgoing jobs with warehouse and shipping teams
- Order non‑stock parts and materials to support production and repair work
- Track production spending and job costs to ensure all expenses are captured accurately
- Monitor shop budgets, control waste, and support cost‑efficiency initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health policies
- Generate parts and repair sales orders and create repair jobs
- Provide accurate parts and repair quotes to customers
- Acknowledge sales orders and maintain clear communication with end users
- Manage customer purchase order portals and documentation
- Support customer site visits up to 25% of the time as needed
- Participate in emergency weekend call support on a rotating or as‑needed basis
- Track and manage production and sales activity using systems such as Phocas, Kinetic/Epicor, Smartsheet, SAP Concur, and Salesforce
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for both operational and sales activities
- Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Hands‑on, solutions‑oriented, and comfortable on the shop floor
- Ability to multitask and manage competing operational and customer priorities
- Working knowledge of manufacturing parts, equipment, and repair processes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- Customer service and/or sales experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Experience with Epicor/Kinetic, Phocas, Smartsheet, Salesforce is a plus!
