Position: Maintenance Engineer Starting At 20/hr

Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer supports safe and reliable operations by performing hands-on maintenance on forklifts, CNC equipment, and facility systems. This role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, including changing hoses, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring all equipment in the shop and facility runs efficiently and with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other heavy equipment, including mechanical inspections and adjustments.
  • Change hoses and related components on machinery and equipment, ensuring proper fit, function, and safety.
  • Conduct facilities maintenance, including inspection, repair, and upkeep of building systems and infrastructure within the shop and facility.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and address them proactively through preventive maintenance activities.
  • Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems on CNC machines, forklifts, and facility equipment to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
  • Collaborate with operations and production personnel to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to daily operations.
  • Follow safety procedures and best practices when working with heavy equipment, mechanical systems, and shop tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the shop and throughout the facility.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering or maintenance technician roles within a CNC shop or similar environment.
  • Hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance, including forklifts and other mechanical equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform tasks such as changing hoses and replacing mechanical components.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance on CNC equipment and shop machinery.
  • Background in facilities maintenance, including basic building systems and infrastructure repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues on CNC machines and heavy equipment.
  • Capability to work safely around heavy equipment and mechanical systems while following established safety procedures.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple maintenance tasks and priorities during the workday.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a CNC shop environment with exposure to industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance best practices for both production equipment and facility systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about equipment status and maintenance needs.
  • Comfort using basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment commonly used in maintenance work.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
