6am – 3:30pm
$18-$22 per hour based on experience quick escalation and frequent performance based bonuses
We are seeking a detail-oriented 2D CAD Technician to support our manufacturing and machining operations. This role focuses on creating accurate 2D drawings and toolpaths for production.
Experience with
BOBCAD is a major plus—it’s our primary software and we know it’s not common, so candidates with strong skills in other CAD/CAM platforms are encouraged to apply.

- Produce precise 2D CAD drawings for machining and fabrication
- Create and modify toolpaths for CNC equipment
- Collaborate with machinists and production staff to ensure manufacturability
- Assist with file preparation for laser cutters, waterjets, and wire EDM machines
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Support occasional 3D printing tasks (experience is a plus, not required)
- Proficiency in 2D CAD drafting
- Experience with at least one CAD/CAM software package:
- BOBCAD (preferred)
- Solid Works
- Onshape
- Autodesk (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Inventor, etc.)
- Mastercam
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with the production team
- Familiarity with laser cutting, waterjet cutting, or wire EDM
- Basic understanding of CNC machining workflows
- Experience with 3D printing (FDM, SLA, or similar)
- Ability to troubleshoot CAD/CAM issues and optimize toolpaths
