SUMMARYDetermine Root Cause and repair defects of Uson Test and Test Sand rejects and document for future use in quality improvement; and identify assembly errors and make suggestions to improve process by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Disassemble failed transmission to determine root cause of failure and rework as required.
- Identify assembly errors and make suggestions to improve process.
- Operates air impact gun and assorted hand tools to remove and install bolts, snap rings, screws, rivets or other fasteners to remove or attach parts or subassemblies.
- Inspect parts and subassemblies for obvious defects, misbuilt or omitted parts. Scrap defective parts.
- Clean and perform operator maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the QS 9000 and ISO 14001 systems.
Must be able to comprehend technical information, read and write legibly. Must also be willing to pursue technical schooling in a timely manner to fulfill requirements for this job. Must be able to learn the operation of the test stand.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTAir impact gun, air gun, air nozzle, assorted hand tools, manual press, go/no-go gauges.
MATERIALSTransmission parts, transmission fluid and sharpening stone.
WORKING PROCEDUREDetailed Work Instructions are located at each subassembly and final assembly workstation.
