We Are Looking For
The Assembly Support Associate is an experienced position responsible for performing value-added tasks with moderate supervision, including operating machines and conducting in-process inspections. This role supports production processes by following standard instructions, troubleshooting, and providing training support to enhance production efficiency.
What You'll Do
As an Assembly Support Associate, you'll be responsible for:
- Perform basic value-added tasks following standard instructions, ensuring products are correctly marked and securely packaged for shipment.
- Prepare materials with adhesives or bonding agents as directed, ensuring they are ready for use in value-added processes.
- Conduct in-process inspections to monitor product quality during value-added tasks, identifying issues and reporting them promptly.
- Operate machines with moderate supervision, adjusting settings for minor variations to accommodate different product specifications or material types.
- Assist in training new value add associates on standard operations and value-added tasks, providing hands-on guidance and demonstrating proper techniques.
- Read and comprehend blueprints and documentation to understand task requirements and ensure alignment with production goals.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot basic machine issues to ensure continuous operation.
- Document machine performance and report findings, maintaining logs of operational status and submitting any irregularities for lead or supervisor review.
- Utilize basic computer skills and access work orders as guided by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation by arranging tools, materials and components neatly and ensuring easy access and compliance with workplace safety and efficiency standards.
- Assist in sorting and organizing incoming materials, verifying quantities against documentation under close oversight.
- Follow safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training to prevent workplace hazards.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of production experience or value-added experience, or equivalent on-the-job training with demonstrated proficiency in value-added tasks, labeling, packaging and basic machine operations.
- Eager to learn and follow instructions with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a structured environment
- Basic verbal communication skills to report issues and follow directives
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures under supervision
Special Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- ITAR Requirement
- 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
