Blue Worx is currently seeking a Welder I to support the fabrication of steel frames and building components for a manufacturing partner in Oklahoma City. This is a hands‑on role ideal for candidates with MIG welding experience who value safety, teamwork, and consistent work hours.
Position SummaryThe Welder I will assist in the fabrication and welding of steel frames and structural components. Candidates should be comfortable working in a production environment and following established welding procedures.
MIG welding and fitting experience is a plus
, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who meet the basic requirements.
- Safely perform MIG welding on steel frames and building components
- Use fabrication tools including scrapers, 7” grinders, welding hood, and gouger
- Assist with fitting and preparation of materials prior to welding
- Follow all welding procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
- Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of assigned work area
- Demonstrate constant awareness of workplace safety
- Complete required training on company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Familiarity or fluency with MIG welding processes
- Experience with plasma torches and oxy-acetylene cutting is a plus
- Welding certifications are beneficial but not required
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
