Material Handler, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations, Forklift Operator, Production Associate / Production Line
Assist with the loading and unloading of metals in our Aluminum Extrusion department that are going to different areas of the facility for fabrication, anodizing, and powder coating.
Responsibilities- Remove material from the unload table and stack on skids or aging racks.
- Blow sawdust from metals to prevent scratching.
- Accurately count and record inventory.
- Visually inspect metal for scratches or defects.
- Perform associated duties of equal or less difficulty.
- Keep the area neat and clean.
- Must be able to interact with employees professionally at all times.
- Good hand and eye coordination.
- Stack metal fast enough to keep up with the saw.
- Count and record as you fill a rack or skid.
- Able to stand 10-12 hours a day.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Basic writing skills are necessary for completing daily production records.
- Basic math skills are necessary for completing daily production reports.
- Basic verbal communication skills are required to transfer or interpret problem explanations and to receive and understand work assignments.
- Hydraulic stretcher equipment
- Measuring instruments (tape measures, calipers)
- Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, safety shoes)
- Manufacturing floor adjacent to extrusion press and billet oven
- Non-air-conditioned facility
- Fast-paced production environment
- First Shift: 4:00 PM - 4:00 AM with rotating schedule
- On-the-job training provided for equipment operation and safety procedures
- Assessment of basic math skills (fractions and decimals)
- Evaluation of measuring tool proficiency
- No formal testing required for initial placement
- Mandatory use of personal protective equipment at all times
- Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures
- Participation in safety training programs
- Immediate reporting of safety concerns or incidents
