The Maintenance & Fabrication Technician is responsible for MIG and TIG welding, metal fabrication, and production support for clay mixer manufacturing. This hands-on role includes material handling, equipment operation, housekeeping, and safe forklift operation in a manufacturing environment. Warehouse temperatures vary seasonally, though the facility is temperature-controlled during the winter months. Applicants must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Employment requires signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding of clay mixer components to precise quality standards
• Prepare, cut, and fabricate metal parts
• Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely
• Assist with loading customer and carrier vehicles as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through routine housekeeping
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Conduct basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Support inventory organization and communicate low stock levels for reordering
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding required
• Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments is a plus
• Experience operating heavy machinery and industrial equipment preferred
• Forklift experience or willingness to become forklift certified
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Comfortable working effectively in a repetitive production environment
• Comfortable performing extended and consistent physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, climbing stairs, and repetitive tasks
• Ability to consistently lift up to 100 lbs.
• Basic math skills for weighing and measuring materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Comfortable wearing PPE, including respirators and face/eye protection, for extended periods and in varying temperatures

Physical Requirements:

• Industrial production and warehouse environment
• Exposure to dust, raw materials, sparks, hot metals, and manufacturing noise
• Comfortable working on platforms and around industrial equipment
• Minimal exposure to toxic materials
• Extended periods of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and climbing stairs
• Use of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment
• Operation of heavy machinery, including industrial mixers, conveyors, and packaging equipment
