Machine Operator

Job Summary:

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. Your role involves adhering to safety protocols, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that the machines are set up correctly for each production run.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation:
    Operate and control machines, to produce parts and products according to specifications.
  • Setup and Calibration:
    Set up machines by adjusting settings and configurations based on production requirements. Calibrate machines to ensure accurate and consistent output.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Inspect products during and after production to verify adherence to quality standards. Use measuring tools and gauges to check dimensions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    Perform regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that safety guards and protective equipment are in place and functioning.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of production data, machine performance, and any incidents or deviations. Report any significant issues or irregularities to the supervisor.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and quality control personnel to meet production goals and ensure smooth workflow. Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in machine operation or a related field is advantageous.
  • Experience:

    Previous experience operating machines or similar industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Skills:

    Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production specifications.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Good manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Certifications:

Work Environment:

The position involves working in a production facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Proper safety measures and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.

B shift Machine Operator trains on A shift.

B Shift: Sunday, Monday Tuesday 6:30 pm - 7:00 am

Train A shift Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6:30 am - 7:00 pm $15.00 to Start Once trained, a $1.00 shift differential will be added.
