Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Fabrication
Utilize Welders and associated equipment and Hand tools to fabricate and/or repair material racks or wagons and Guardrails. Assist with other Facility Work orders as required.
Responsibilities- Operate Mig/Tig, Plasma cutter, & stick welding machine.
- Use grinders, drills, Cutting Torch, and any other tools associated with Metal Fabrication
- Check inventory of component parts needed to do fabrication
- Perform a variety of machine operations to rework or repair defective or damaged component parts
- Must be able to wear a welding hood and protective vest.
- Must be flexible and help other Team Members complete tasks as needed.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Operate forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift to complete tasks.
- Receive verbal directions from others regarding operations and assignments to be performed.
- Reorder welding Supplies as needed.
- Must be able to always interact with employees in a professional manner.
- Must be able to use and read tape measure.
- Must be able to lift or push welding components to the workstation, weighing up to or over 50 pounds.
- Keep daily production records.
- Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
- Good vision is required for the welding process.
- Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) are necessary to perform set-up operations.
- Basic writing skills are required to complete daily production records.
- Basic verbal communication skills are required to transfer or interpret problem explanations and to receive and understand work assignments.
- Good motor skills (hand/eye coordination) are necessary for the efficient operation of welding.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
- Must be Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift certified.
Wire welders, punch press, drill press, band saw, table saw, belt sander, forklift, hand tools, safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, welding hood, and protective vest.
