Position SummaryMidwest Hose is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds on stainless steel and other alloys used in industrial hose assemblies, fittings, and custom fabrication projects. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, takes pride in precision workmanship, and can consistently meet quality and production standards.
Essential Responsibilities- Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and other metals.
- Weld thin-wall tubing, hose assemblies, fittings, and custom fabricated components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards.
- Use measuring tools, gauges, and fixtures to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components before welding.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other fabrication or production duties as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
- Experience welding stainless steel and thin-wall tubing is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Bend, kneel, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- AWS welding certification is a plus.
- Experience with hose assembly manufacturing or industrial fabrication.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is beneficial but not required.
