Wood Shop Laborer

$15/hr | 1st shift

• Move and organize inventory, lumber, and finished products during the initial training period.
• Load and unload materials and products safely and efficiently.
• Clean frames and prepare wood components for further processing or assembly.
• Cut and shape wood materials used for frames, signs, décor, and store fixtures.
• Operate woodworking equipment such as saws, sanders, routers, and cutting machines in accordance with safety procedures.
• Build and assemble products according to detailed specifications and work orders.
• Sand, stain, paint, and finish wood pieces to achieve the required appearance and quality.
• Inspect products for quality, identify defects, and make adjustments as needed to meet standards.
• Measure materials accurately and read work orders or plans to ensure correct dimensions and assembly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures related to equipment operation and material handling.

This role is based in a manufacturing facility with a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with the possibility of working until 5:00 PM for overtime. You work in a production and warehouse setting that involves handling lumber and finished wood products, operating woodworking machinery such as saws, sanders, routers, and cutting machines, and using hand and power tools regularly.

The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with expectations to maintain a tidy work area and follow established safety procedures throughout each shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

The pay range for this position is $15.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
