Position: (B Shift) Press Operator

Press Operator (B Shift)

Shift: Sun–Tue | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Pay: $16/hr

This role involves operating printing press machines in a climate-controlled production environment. You will run and monitor press equipment, use a computer interface to adjust machine settings and programs, and support overall production by performing general labor tasks as needed. The position requires safe and efficient machine operation, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on B shift after completing training.

Responsibilities

  • Operate printing press machines safely and efficiently to support continuous production.
  • Use the computer system connected to the press to adjust machine settings, programs, and parameters as needed.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make basic adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Handle paper and other materials used in the printing process, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints or production instructions to ensure accurate setup and operation.
  • Perform general labor tasks in the production area, including cleaning work areas, organizing materials, and assisting with related duties.
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while operating press and production equipment.
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of routine machine operation and material handling.
  • Collaborate with team members and trainers during the training period to learn press operation, production processes, and quality expectations.
  • Complete assigned production tasks on B shift and support additional hours when available and scheduled through the sign-up process.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in machine operation within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating press machines, including printing presses, press brakes, or punch presses.
  • Ability to operate printing machines used in paper manufacturing or similar production settings.
  • Comfort using a computer connected to machinery to adjust settings, programs, and operating parameters.
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints or production documentation.
  • Capability to perform general labor tasks in a production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly during the shift.
  • Willingness and ability to work B shift (evening and overnight hours) and complete required training on A shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
