We are looking for an Inspector for our Oklahoma City facility. In this role, the inspector will enter customer order information into computer system, inspect and rack customer products. The Inspector will work in a self-directed capacity in a fast-paced environment. You will work with a variety of customers to understand their ongoing product needs and translate those needs into workable specifications for teammates to follow.
In performing his/her daily tasks, the individual will draw upon training and experience to make important front-end and back-end processing decisions. As part of his/her primary responsibilities, this individual will also ensure that once the customers’ products have been processed they are inspected for quality, re-packaged, and shipped accurately.
- Receive and inspect customer product for processing.
- Inspect the finished product.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.
- Visual inspection of tools for proper coating.
- Learn defixturing techniques.
- Post quantities being shipped into the computer system.
- Pack customer parts for shipping.
- Use XRF equipment to document coating thickness.
- Use various shipping software.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribes safety regulations.
- Must conform to current health, environmental, and safety standards.
- Perform Pre and Post treatment operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior machine operator experience preferred
- Effective verbal /writing communication skills
- Ability to read/write/speak English
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g.; drills, etc.) preferred, but not required
- Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detailed-oriented
- A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.
- Maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 44 lbs.
- Frequent handling of materials or products.
- Ability to stand or walk for 8-12 hours per shift.
- Moving between workstations or throughout the facility.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, or reaching overhead.
- Handling items at various heights.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for grasping, assembling, or operating tools/machinery.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Occasionally climbing ladders, step stools, or stairs.
- Ability to read labels, instructions, and safety signs.
- Hearing alarms or verbal instructions in noisy environments.
- Working in hot, cold, or noisy conditions.
- Exposure to dust, fumes, or chemicals (with proper PPE).
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
