St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK

A vibrant Oklahoma City parish is ready for its next chapter.

What if your next call were to a parish where the welcome is real, the laity is engaged, the foundation is strong—and people are genuinely excited about what God is calling them to become?

That is St. Augustine of Canterbury
.

Our recent Holy Cow! congregational survey placed St. Augustine as high as the 99th percentile nationwide for Holy Hospitality. We hope you’ll come and experience it for yourself.

We are spiritually energetic, financially healthy, diverse and inclusive, with a congregation that is not waiting for its next chapter—it is already helping to write it.

During our transition, a loving and steady interim rector has helped create a parish with remarkably low anxiety and a growing sense of possibility. Our laity has responded by stepping forward and taking ownership of the parish’s life and mission.

Now we are reimagining Christian formation, deepening small-group ministry, renewing stewardship, and seeking new ways to extend Christ’s love into our community. We are looking for a rector who can help bring these energies together through a shared vision for the future
.

We seek a gifted preacher, compassionate shepherd, and inspiring teacher who listens well, builds trust, and recognizes the gifts already present in our congregation. We hope to find a priest who will help us strengthen and carry out our ministries more faithfully, encourage us to explore new possibilities, and lead us in discerning and pursuing a shared vision for the future.

You’ll find strong foundations, an engaged congregation, and a genuine hunger for growth.

Oklahoma City is increasingly recognized as one of America’s desirable places to live. U.S. News & World Report named OKC the No. 1 Best Big City to Live in America for 2025–26, while Forbes ranked it the No. 3 Best City to Move to in 2024. Add the 2025 NBA champion Thunder, six 2028 Olympic events, outstanding restaurants, affordable housing, and excellent area public and Episcopal schools – there is a lot to love.

If you are seeking a parish with heart, health, hospitality, and a hunger for what comes next, we invite you to come discover St. Augustine of Canterbury.
