Opportunity: RN - Neuro PCU

• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Work in a Stroke and Neuro floor that also treats ortho and spine patients
• Function as a comprehensive stroke center with patient ratios of 3:1 for stroke patients and 5:1 for all other patients
• Stroke experience and NIHSS certification preferred
• Will need to precept and possibly work in virtual room settings
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with family and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures
• Delegate tasks to support staff
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required
• Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Computer skills necessary
