Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Travel RN for a Surgical Specialty unit caring for post-surgical kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as pre-transplant patients undergoing inpatient evaluation. This is a mixed stepdown and acute care surgical floor requiring close monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication administration.

This is not a PACU or OR position.

Unit Details

• Mixed Stepdown/Acute Care Surgical Floor
• Post-transplant and pre-transplant population
• High-acuity monitoring and medication management

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical transplant and stepdown patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor for complications
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as ordered
• Collaborate with transplant and multidisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on procedures, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Must have prior travel experience
• Must have Stepdown/PCU experience
• Must have Level 1 experience
• Must have acute care surgical floor experience
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Active Oklahoma RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
