Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health. Night shift 7p-7a, unit

You’ll impact patient care by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care interventions and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys each day and leverage your skills and our technology to directly influence patient wellbeing. This position supports the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
• Assesses the patient and plans care within set time frames and documents findings according to policies
• Oversees and supervises the shift
• Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
• Oversees staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is delivered by self and team
• Monitors patient for change of condition and responds accordingly, including notifying the physician as needed
• Follows hospital policy for medication administration
• Interacts with patients with empathy, dignity, and respect
• Delivers quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and nursing competencies
• Assists or performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients

Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Associate's degree in nursing required
• Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations
• 1 year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred
• CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
