You’ll impact patient care by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care interventions and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys each day and leverage your skills and our technology to directly influence patient wellbeing. This position supports the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
- Assesses the patient and plans care within set time frames and documents findings according to policies
- Oversees and supervises the shift
- Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
- Oversees staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is delivered by self and team
- Monitors patient for change of condition and responds accordingly, including notifying the physician as needed
- Follows hospital policy for medication administration
- Interacts with patients with empathy, dignity, and respect
- Delivers quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and nursing competencies
- Assists or performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients

Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Associate's degree in nursing required
- Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations
- 1 year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred
- CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
- De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
