Registered Nurse – Cath Lab / Stepdown | Travel Contract

Licensure & Certifications:
Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Compact (eNLC) license
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS (AHA) required
PALS (AHA) required

Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
BSN preferred

Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of RN experience
Stepdown/PCU experience required
Travel experience preferred
2 recent years of Cath Lab experience required
Ability to function independently in a specialty area
Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Ability to work as part of a team providing specialized care
Basic computer skills

Under general supervision, provides nursing care in one of OU Health’s specialty areas. Delivers safe, evidence-based care and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities Include:

Provide care for an assigned group of patients Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to treatments and interventions Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products Assist physicians with examinations and procedures Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers Coordinate care and make referrals to appropriate personnel Delegate tasks to support staff as needed Perform other duties as assigned
