Registered Nurse – PACU | Travel Contract

Licensure & Certifications:
Active OK or Compact License
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS (AHA) required
PALS (AHA) required

Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
BSN preferred

Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of RN experience
At least 1 year of PACU experience required
Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs
Basic computer skills

Under general supervision, provides nursing care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. Delivers safe, evidence-based care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities Include:

Provide care for an assigned group of patients Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to treatments and interventions Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions Monitor patient status and intervene as necessary Coordinate care and make referrals to appropriate personnel Delegate tasks to support staff as needed Perform other duties as assigned
