Registered Nurse – Step Down/Oncology | Travel Contract

Licensure & Certifications:
Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Compact (eNLC) license
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS (AHA) required
Fundamentals of Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Administration – Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate

Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
BSN preferred

Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of RN experience
Step Down unit experience required
Oncology experience required
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to respond to diverse cultural and language needs
Proficient with basic computer skills

Under general supervision, provides nursing care to patients with a range of health conditions, from moderate to complex. Delivers safe, evidence-based care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support patient outcomes and family education.

Responsibilities Include:

Provide care for an assigned group of patients Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to interventions and treatments Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as prescribed Assist physicians with examinations and procedures Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions Monitor patient status and intervene as needed Coordinate care and make referrals to appropriate personnel Delegate tasks to support staff Perform other duties as assigned Assignment Type:
