American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Perioperative Circulator for an ambulatory surgery center in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 1 year of acute OR experience and an active RN or compact license.
Details- Ambulatory surgery center setting in Oklahoma City, OK
- Perioperative circulator role in an operating room environment
- Ophthalmology experience preferred
- Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4 days per week (10-hour shifts), 40 hours per week
- No call, no weekends, and no holiday coverage required
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply, as workers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) is strictly enforced and must begin immediately upon booking
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating individualized nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
- Accountable for ongoing documentation of all care components within the perioperative environment using the nursing process
- Adapts patient care based on health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
