Position Details:
Nights, Full Time, 36 hours per Week.

Location:

Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd, OB Emergency Department.

We are a high‑paced, high‑energy unit specializing in Obstetrics and Mother Baby, Well Newborn Care, and Post Women’s Surgical care. Within our unit we have: 40‑MB rooms, 15‑LDR rooms, 14‑High Risk Antepartum, 8‑bed OBED unit, 4‑LIBC Birthing Suites, 4‑Pre Post Rooms, and 3‑OR suites for our own cases. We also have full‑time lactation consultants who see both inpatient and outpatient patients.

Nurses are expected to maintain competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department, and may be assigned to float between these departments based on patient care needs.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure:
  Responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical Requirements/ Demands:
  Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit or required timeframe.
