Position: Travel PICU Registered Nurse - $2,930 per week

Position

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for PICU
- Pediatric Intensive Care in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

  • Employment Type: Travel RN
  • Job Notes: Travel or local RN needed for ASAP start, minimum 2+ years recent hospital bedside experience, must start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of initial assignment.
  • Compensation: Pay package based on 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week, tax-free stipend amount to be determined; $750 referral bonus available.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
  • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures.
  • Make referrals to appropriate personnel regarding patient care needs.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff.
Qualifications
  • CVICU and NICU experience preferred.
  • Level 1 experience required.
  • 1 year of nursing experience required.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required.
  • PALS (American Heart Association) required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
  • Basic computer skills required.
