Travel RN - Pediatric ICU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City requiring at least 1 year of experience, AHA-certified BLS and PALS, and a valid OK or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Pediatric ICU unit in a hospital setting,

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week),

• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred,

• Level 1 trauma experience is required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC),

• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required - no other issuing bodies accepted,

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required,

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred,

• Level 1 facility experience required,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

• Full date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments,

• Obtains and monitors physiological data, administers medications as prescribed, and manages IV infusions and blood products,

• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures,

• Communicates care plans with patients and families and coordinates referrals to appropriate personnel,

• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum of 26 total weeks),

• Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) are strictly enforced - non-compliant travelers risk cancellation
