Travel RN - Pediatric ICU

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric ICU (Stepdown) position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience and Level I trauma experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Pediatric ICU Stepdown unit,

• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week),

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC),

• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required,

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required,

• ICU experience required,

• Level I trauma experience required,

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred,

• Proficiency in IV initiation, regulation, and monitoring, including blood product administration,

• Basic computer skills required,

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex,

• Responsible for monitoring and documenting physiological data, administering medications, and coordinating care plans with patients and families,

• Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates with interdisciplinary team members,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered,

• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks total (including any extensions); a 6-month separation period is required before re-engagement,

• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance - the facility does not allow delayed start dates due to non-compliance,
