Travel RN - Pediatric ICU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of RN experience and current AHA certifications including PALS.

Job Details

• Pediatric ICU setting within a hospital environment,

• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week),

• 13-week contract,

• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred,

• Level 1 facility experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) required,

• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required,

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required,

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred,

• Level 1 facility experience required,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to interventions and treatments,

• Involves collaboration with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, as well as patient and family education regarding care plans and hospital procedures,

• Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a subsequent contract,

• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly - the facility does not accommodate delayed start dates for non-compliant travelers
