Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN in the Neuro ICU for a 13‑week assignment in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physician in patient examination and minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently.
- Interact with family and patient, sharing the care plan during hospital stay and at discharge.
- Inform patient and family of hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (B.S., M.S., or higher). Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program preferred.
Licensing & Certification- Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
- ICU experience.
- Patient care expertise.
- RN license.
- ACLS certification.
- Neuro nursing knowledge, including NIHSS.
English – read, write, and speak.
Minimum Degree RequiredAssociate’s Degree in Nursing (Community College) – if license requires.
