• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
• Assist physician in patient examination and minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
• Administer medication as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Deliver patient care competently.
• Interact with family and patient, sharing the care plan during hospital stay and at discharge.
• Inform patient and family of hospital procedures.
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
• Delegate tasks to support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Basic computer skills.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (B.S., M.S., or higher). Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program preferred.

• Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.

• ICU experience.
• Patient care expertise.
• RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• Neuro nursing knowledge, including NIHSS.

English – read, write, and speak.

Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Community College) – if license requires.
