Hours
  • Full Time
  • Open Monday-Friday 6:00am-5:00pm. Employees may need to work slightly earlier or later as required.
  • No weekends or on‑call shifts.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of Charge Nurse/management experience, preferably in an Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and/or hospital.
  • Experience managing a team of at least 20 direct reports is preferred.
  • Prior nursing experience in at least one of the following settings:
    Operating Room (OR), ASC, Pre‑Op/Post‑Op, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Valid Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience with infection control preferred.
  • Favorable result on background check.
  • Proof of identity and right to work in the United States required.
Position Summary

Responsible for the day‑to‑day smooth running of the facility, including coordinating breaks and lunches, daily log checks, scheduling, and enforcing policies. Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with established federal, state, and accreditation standards. Participates in direct patient care and maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment.

Performance Expectations
  • Critical Thinking – Supervise and direct patient care in an individual operating room, ensuring proper techniques and practices. Report and document unusual occurrences promptly.
  • Interpersonal – Demonstrate a positive, friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other staff.
  • Job Knowledge / Responsibilities – Perform duties in an ethical and legal manner within the scope of the license. Maintain accurate medical records, comply with reporting adverse incidents, and adhere to work schedules.
  • Attendance – Arrive on time and maintain minimal absences.
  • License – Maintain and renew professional license in a timely manner.
Required

Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Valid Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Printer, copier, telephone, and fax proficiency.
  • Knowledge of patient monitoring and emergency equipment.
Physical Demands
  • Walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally push up to over 200 pounds.
  • Occasionally pull or lift patients with assistance up to 400–500 pounds.
  • Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and climb.
Accident or Health Hazards
  • Regular exposure to blood and body substances.
  • Possible needle stick exposure.
Working Conditions

Work in well‑lit and ventilated surroundings, including operating rooms, nurse’s stations, procedure rooms, and lounge areas.
