As a Pain/Phase II RN
, you’ll play a critical role in pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery
, ensuring each patient receives safe and compassionate care.
- Prepare patients for procedures following hospital policies.
- Educate patients and families about the surgical experience
. - Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergency situations as needed.
- Ensure all necessary pre‑op requirements are met before surgery.
- Maintain and rotate supplies/medications to prevent expirations.
- Receive patient handoff from PACU or OR nurse
. - Monitor vital signs,
airway, respiratory & circulatory status
. - Administer medications and follow physician orders.
- Promote patient comfort, privacy, and safety
. - Educate patients and families on post‑op care and discharge instructions.
- Coordinate smooth patient discharge, ensuring a seamless transition home
. - Complete post‑operative calls and provide follow-up care
.
Licensure & Certification:
- Active Oklahoma RN License (or eligibility)
- BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS/PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pain or Phase II nurse
