RN - ICU Neuro
Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in a hospital setting. Must have Level 1 trauma experience in an ICU Neurology unit. Preferably up to 1 year of experience in Level 1 trauma and travel nursing. Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary. Administer medications as prescribed. Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. Interact with family and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and e referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegate tasks to support staff. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required. Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Required certifications:
Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association). Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients.
