Key Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent nursing care across a range of simple to complex health conditions.
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
- Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions; makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Delegates tasks to support staff and assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, both issued by the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
- Strong ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services with proficiency in nursing techniques.
