RN – NICU (Registered Nurse, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract | Days | Onsite

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes physiological manifestations of patients, and intervenes when necessary
• Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Interacts with patients and families to share the care plan during hospitalization and at time of discharge, including informing them of hospital procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current Oklahoma nursing license or current multistate compact RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NRP certification (American Heart Association);
  Advanced NRP required
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures with the ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
