RN Nurse, Charge Nurse
Location: Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City
Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)
OverviewOrganizes and administers nursing service in the assigned specialty area by assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care. Functions in staff role as needed. Assumes managerial duties as delegated by OR Manager. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in all aspects of the position. Responsible for the orientation of new coworkers and permanent team members in conjunction with the Resource Coordinator and the OR Nurse Clinician.
Supports the continuous improvement of quality and service to ensure Mercy's goal of excellence in clinical outcomes and satisfaction of those we serve. Demonstrates fairness, integrity and compassion in interactions.
- Education:
One to three years technical school or college required in Nursing - Preferred Education:
BSN - Licensure:
Must have either a current RN Temporary Permit/RN license in the state of practice - Experience:
Minimum of 3 years healthcare experience - Preferred Experience:
Prefer at least one year Operating Room RN experience and proven leadership skills - Certifications:
CPR required - Preferred
Certifications:
CNOR preferred
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
