Location:

Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City

Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Overview

Organizes and administers nursing service in the assigned specialty area by assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care. Functions in staff role as needed. Assumes managerial duties as delegated by the OR Manager. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in all aspects of the position. Responsible for orienting new coworkers and permanent team members in conjunction with the Resource Coordinator and the OR Nurse Clinician.

Supports continuous improvement of quality and service to achieve Mercy's goal of excellence in clinical outcomes and satisfaction of those we serve. Demonstrates fairness, integrity, and compassion in interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating operations and patient care.

Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    One to three years of technical school or college required in Nursing. Preferred education includes a BSN.
  • Licensure
    :
    Must have either a current RN license or a temporary permit/RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience
    :
    Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience. Preferred at least 1 year of Operating Room RN experience and proven leadership skills.
  • Certifications
    : CPR required. Preferred CNOR certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
