Palliative Care Nurse
If hospice is your calling, you already know it's not about tasks on a checklist. It's about presence. About walking alongside patients and families through one of the most important seasons of their lives. As a Hospice LPN with Interim Health Care of Oklahoma City, you'll deliver hands‑on, one‑on‑one care and be a steady, compassionate presence when it matters most.
We've been locally owned and operated right here in OKC since 1999. We're Veteran- and nurse-owned, so we understand this work from the inside out. When you join our team, you're not a number. You're part of a community that's been showing up for this city for over 25 years.
ScheduleOur hospice census supports a part‑time LPN caseload, and we want to be upfront about that. Here's how it works:
- If part‑time hospice works for your life, we can keep you hospice only.
- If you want full‑time hours, we can get you there by supplementing your hospice caseload with home health visits.
- $30 per visit | $45 death visit
- Home health visits if you supplement for full‑time hours: $30 per visit (full time) | $22 per visit (part time)
- Paid mileage at $0.64/mile
- Weekly pay every Friday
- $40/day Monday through Friday | $75/day Saturday and Sunday
- This role includes a rotating on‑call schedule, approximately one weekend per month.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- $25,000 company‑paid life insurance policy
- Stay Pay: a $100 bonus for each year of service
- Employee recognition program with monthly drawings
- Provide hands‑on hospice care in patients' homes, following the plan of care.
- Manage symptoms and comfort, and support patients and families through end of life.
- Document visits and report changes to the case manager and hospice team.
- Work alongside RNs, aides, social workers, and chaplains.
- Be a calm, reassuring presence for patients and the people who love them.
- Active LPN license in Oklahoma.
- Hospice experience required.
- Knowledge of hospice regulations and the Medicare hospice benefit.
- Strong clinical skills, communication, and a heart for end‑of‑life care.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
