Our team at Community Hospital South is looking for an RN to help fill shifts as needed in the emergency department. ER nurses provide direct nursing care in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. In collaboration with patients, their families, and other members of the health care team, the ER RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment plans. ER nurses work fully as part of the entire facility team and will help perform other duties as assigned.

• Provides care to patients in the emergency room according to policy, procedure, and care standards.
• Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications.
• Coordinates patient care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Actively protects and advances patients’ best interests.
• Demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description and continually demonstrates competency in performing those duties.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
• Minimum of one year experience in Med‑Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.
• BLS Healthcare required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS required within 120 days of hire.
